About Us
Green Economy Partnership: Going green by 2050
Welcome to the Green Economy Partnership, where going green by 2050 is not just a dream, but a reality we strive to make happen. Our mission is to lead the way in developing and restoring forestry for carbon capture and ecosystem services, creating a greener and cleaner world for future generations. As pioneers in the carbon elimination industry, we are committed to setting a new standard for engineered carbon removal methods. The urgency of climate change requires action from us all, and we are calling on global citizens to join us in making a difference. By working together, we can reduce carbon levels and reverse the damaging effects of climate change.
In line with the Oxford Principles for Net Zero Aligned Carbon Offsetting and other international initiatives, we believe that companies must include Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR) in their net zero strategy. Our certification program identifies reputable carbon removal suppliers, giving buyers the assurance that their efforts to reduce their carbon footprint meet the highest standards.
Join us in our mission to create a greener future. Together, we can make a meaningful and measurable impact on climate change.
Challenges:
Deforestation & Climate Change
At Green Economy Partnership, we believe that deforestation and climate change are two of the most pressing issues facing our planet today. The loss of biodiversity and increased carbon emissions caused by deforestation are major hindrances to achieving a sustainable future. Meanwhile, climate change brings with it devastating consequences such as natural disasters, rising sea levels, and a loss of habitats for wildlife.
That’s why we’re dedicated to promoting sustainable practices that reduce deforestation and limit global warming. From planting more trees to embracing renewable energy sources like solar, hydroelectricity, and wind power, we’re committed to finding solutions that can help protect our planet for future generations.
Solution:
High Standard Carbon Offsets
Afforestation, the practice of planting trees to restore forests, has been a key climate change solution for many years. Sustainable afforestation projects can reduce the net zero carbon footprint and help combat global warming. By sequestering carbon dioxide, these efforts also promote biodiversity in their local area and revive ecosystems that have been degraded or destroyed. Afforestation offers a win-win situation with its capacity to reduce high-level carbon emissions while providing sustainable solutions for future generations.
The use of high standard carbon offsets for afforestation activities is an important approach to creating positive ecological outcomes and ensuring lasting change against climate change.
Nature Based Assets
Nature-based assets like forests, wetlands, and reefs provide vital services like water filtration, carbon storage, and wildlife habitat, benefiting human society.

OUR ACTIVE APPROACH
In response to the pressing climate crisis, a swift and transformative change is imperative to combat deforestation effectively. The Green Economy Partnership is committed to an innovative model, emphasizing jurisdictional-level REDD+ programs. By empowering national or state governments with regulatory authority, we foster collaboration with local communities to make a substantial impact. Our goal is to mobilize significant financial resources across jurisdictions, aiming to protect a minimum of 2.5 million hectares of forest.
Our approach represents a revolutionary departure in the battle against deforestation, adopting a comprehensive strategy that spans entire regions. This inclusive framework encourages the cooperation of private actors, public donors, governments, Indigenous communities, agricultural producers, and civil society. The resulting REDD+ programs not only uphold rigorous social and environmental safeguards but also drive significant reductions in deforestation. Importantly, the proceeds from credit sales actively contribute to emissions reductions.
The Green Economy Partnership plays a crucial role in assisting companies and governments in navigating the ever-evolving landscape of standards, market dynamics, and policy uncertainties. Aligned with the Paris Agreement and international best practices, we offer a credible and reliable avenue for companies to access credits from impactful forest protection programs on a large scale.
